&amp; Challenge<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Market research was an important part of the trading journey, but analysis tools were spread across different areas of the platform and external experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Users had to navigate between multiple sources for information such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Market news <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Client sentiment <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trading activity <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Financial reports <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Company fundamentals <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Economic data<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This made it harder for traders to discover relevant insights at the right moment in their decision-making process.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Understanding trader needs<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I started by understanding how traders currently research markets before placing trades:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>User interviews exploring research habits, tools used, and decision-making processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analysis of existing customer feedback and requests.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review of current market analysis journeys across platforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Key insights<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Traders used multiple sources to build their market view.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research behaviour had evolved, with users expecting more information directly within trading platforms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Important analysis tools were difficult to discover because they were spread across different locations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The opportunity was not just adding more tools \u2014 it was <strong>creating a clearer structure<\/strong> that connected research with trading decisions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:40px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Information architecture &amp; design<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Working with designers, Product, and stakeholders, I helped define the structure and navigation model for the Insights Hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Design challenges<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How should different research tools be grouped?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can users quickly discover relevant analysis?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do we create consistency across engagement, including visits, time spent, and user journeys.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Connected research with trading decisions<\/strong> by tracking journeys from Insights Hub to the Deal Ticket.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Closed key feature gaps<\/strong> identified through customer research and competitor analysis, making the platform more competitive.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Built a foundation for future growth<\/strong> by enabling new research tools and features to be added over time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">One interesting challenge was <strong>defining success<\/strong>. Unlike a conversion flow, the goal wasn&#8217;t simply to increase trades.
